João Garcia summited his tenth Main-8000er today. Also a French climber and his Sherpa companion and some others summited today.

More summits were achieved by the following climbers from the French team:

Ludovic Challeat (his third Main 8000er), Christian Maurel (his second), Olivier Coudurier and Jean-François Bourgine accompanied by the Nepalese climbers Pemba Sherpa (his third Main 8000er as well), Dorje Sherpa, Phurba Sherpa, Nil Prasad Gurung and Jaya Prakash Rai. Now there are as many as 41 reported summits on Makalu!
