Multiple Everest Summits including Nepalese Women |

During the last three days many climbers summited Everest, among them five Nepalese women.
The Nepalese lady climbers who succeeded today on Everest were Susmita Maskey, the second woman from the Newari tribe, Pujan Acharya, the first woman from the Brahmin community, Maya Gurung, the first Gurung woman and two Sherpani, Pemba Diki and Nawang Phuti. They were accompanied by five male Sherpa climbers, Pemba Dorje, Kaji, Phurba Tenzing, Ang Gelu and Karma Gyelje.
A large number of climbers achieved the top of Everest on Thursday and it seems, that many will follow today. So far there are more than 100 ascents reported. There were 49 ascents reported on Makalu, at least 33 on Lhotse, 22 on Dhaulagiri I and at least five on Manaslu. An overview table will follow during the next days.
