Last year Miss Oh Eun-Sun achieved the women record of four 8000ers in just six months. This year she wants to repeat it.

Just now she is at Kangchenjunga, in summer she plans to climb Gasherbrum I and Nanga Parbat and in the autumn she will attempt to summit Annapurna I. At the moment she has climbed nine of the 14 Main-8000ers.

Another Korean lady climber, Miss Go Mi-Sun, is also on her way to climb four 8000ers this year. Just now she is at Makalu, in the summer she will attempt Gasherbrums I and II and in the autumn she will join Miss Oh in an all-female expedition to Annapurna I. She has climbed seven of the 14 so far.
